Last weekend I had the joy of shooting the Todd family for some fall portraits! It was a lot of fun! The family has seen the photos now, so I can share them with all of you!

It was a beautiful fall day today and I had the opportunity to spend it with a student of mine and his wonderful family! I brought my wife along to help out and we all had a blast! You want an entertaining afternoon? Try wrangling their little one for some photographs!

It was a LOT of fun and I can't wait for the family to see all of the photos. Until then, here's a little taste!

The weather was beautiful today and I finally mananged to get out and around the backroads of our county. I'm not sure if it's the odd weather, rainfall, or just dumb luck but the foliage in our little part of NC has been more colorful than recent memory (Still nothing compared to where I grew up in the north, but for here?), so I wanted to get some of it captured!

My wife and I drove the 2-lanes of the county and enjoyed each other's company while I captured some images and she made sure I didn't get run over while I was laying in the road. That's why I keep her around!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing some good friends; Brandi and Brad! They recently got engaged and I'm so happy for them! I guess that wedding dress worked, huh Brad? (Just don't ask WHO was wearing it!)

Their wedding will be in April and Brandi wanted to get some photos to celebrate their long-awaited engagement while the fall weather was just right!

Here are a couple of teaser pics. More to come in a week or so after Brandi and Brad get to see them first!

Happy 4th of July to all of my fellow Americans! I hope you had a fun and safe celebration in honor of our country's battle for independence.

I was blessed to spend the holiday weekend my wife and friends in Holden Beach, NC. Of course, I took my gear along and did some photography while I was there.

This is actually a composite of 4 separate shots - all taken from a single position mounted on a tripod. ISO was set to 100, aperature to f11 and the shutter was on "bulb" with exposures ranging from 3 to 5 seconds. Images were pieced together in Photoshop after the fact.

I had a chance this weekend to shoot some photos for Alexa and David before her Senior Prom. We spent a lovely afternoon at the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens and had a great time with these two awesome kids. David was a good sport too and was willing to get his tuxedo a little dusty in the process!

Well, better late than never! I've been meaning to post the card from the Frame Photography household for a while but life and shooting has gotten the better of me!

The card is a pun (go figure!) as our cat's name is Chance. Here he is in all his three-legged adorable goodness.

I suppose being afraid of a big man in a red suit with a massive red beard is acceptable. Especially to toddler. Since my father has had a beard for my entire life, I never suffered the breathtaking nerves around men with facial hair that it seems many children do. I guess it rubbed off on me too, as I sport some facial hair personally.

I had the opportunity to photograph some of the kids at a local elementary school today with Mr. Claus. Most were very receptive (if a little shy). This fella however? He wanted NONE of Mr. Holly Jolly!

With mom and dad's permission, enjoy this little treat!
